‘A compass for popular education’
Friday, 25 September 2015
9:00 – 12:00
Athlone Community Hall
Jan Smuts / corner Klipfontein Rds
A compass is a tool that helps us navigate the stormy seas. We claim that popular education can be a compass that assists people to navigate a way through the turbulence of everyday life.
What distinguishes popular education from other forms of education is the importance of action. So how do we make a clear link between education, change and action?
This is a hands-on session that introduces further ‘navigational’ tools to help us steer a path towards critical insights and transformational action.
