11th Annual Julius Nyerere Lecture on Lifelong Learning, 30 October 2014
The Vice Chancellor of UWC, Professor Brian O’Connell, invites you to save the date for the 11th Annual Julius Nyerere Lecture on Lifelong Learning. This will be held on Thursday 30 October 2014 from 12 – 14h30 at UWC’s Senate Building. Professor Shirley Walters, who is project leader for the ‘Re-membering South African Traditions of Popular Education’, is coordinator of this year’s event. It will be a creative, innovative occasion which will include a performance by a well-known Indian Street Theatre Company, Jana Natya Manch, as a manifestation of popular education in action. We look forward to your participation as we discuss and debate popular education’s role in creating a vibrant democratic society.
